HR Generalist

Following a €45M Series B round led by Dawn Capital, we are scaling our global presence and are looking for an organised and proactive HR Generalist to join our small, talented People team. In this role, you’ll help shape and optimise our people operations, systems, and culture, making a real impact on how we support our team and grow as a company.
Role Details:
Engagement type: Employment contract options are available in the UK, Spain, Germany, and Estonia - with freelance/contractor arrangements in the rest of Europe.
Location: Remote (within Europe)
Compensation: Paid position; rate depends on experience and location
What you'll be doing:
Manage and automate onboarding processes, including HR introduction calls for new hires.
Maintain and optimize the HRIS (Humaans) for accurate people data and reporting.
Update and maintain the Company Handbook, ensuring it is accurate and clearly communicated.
Collect and analyze feedback to support engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with payroll processes and collaborate with external payroll providers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Draft, review, and manage contracts and amendments.
Support team relations, serving as a trusted point of contact for questions, concerns, and support.
Implement and maintain performance frameworks, including goal setting, evaluations, and bonus systems.
Prepare HR reports, metrics, organizational charts, and dashboards for management review.
Promote workplace culture initiatives to increase engagement, inclusion, and retention.
What you bring:
Proven experience in people operations or HR roles, preferably in a startup or scale-up environment.
Comfortable working fully remote and contributing to a diverse, global team culture.
Familiarity with different work arrangements, including contractors, employees, and Employer of Record (EOR) setups.
Good understanding of HRIS systems (experience with Humaans a plus), automations, and AI-enabled HR tools.
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in identifying and solving problems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and provide support across teams.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
